As seen in this picture it's not just tar balls on the beaches it is a light brown oily coating that has taken away the once pristine sugar like sand. Unfortunately I made the mistake of wearing flip-flops while I was taking these pictures and it felt like there was vaseline on the bottom of my feet, not a good feeling!
